Students in Year 12 interested in applying for medicine, dentistry, or oral health may need to sit the compulsory UCAT (University Clinical Admissions Test).
UCAT ANZ Registration & Booking
UCAT ANZ 2020 testing takes place between 1 July and 31 July 2020. You must complete a two-step process using the Pearson VUE online registration system to register and then book a test.
You are strongly recommended to register and sit your test at your earliest convenience to ensure places are available at your nearest test centre. Each year there are candidates who book a late test and encounter problems when they fall ill or experience other issues preventing them from taking that testing slot. This can be avoided by booking to take the test early in the month. We advise that candidates read the Mitigating Circumstances section carefully.
It is also worth noting that school holidays in Australia and university breaks in New Zealand occur in the first half of July. We recommend that you use these times to sit the test to give greater flexibility and to reduce stress.
If you are named on a current Australian Health Care Card / Pensioner Concession Card you are eligible for the Concession Scheme and should apply for the concession fee before booking your test. The concession fee is not available to candidates sitting the test outside Australia. Please see this section about the Concession Scheme.
If you are eligible for extra time or require test accommodations, please see the section on Access Arrangements for more information before booking your test.
Preparation Programs
National Institute of Education (NIE) will be conducting a simulated online UCAT preparation workshop on the 17th of May. To get more information and register, click here: https://www.nie.edu.au/ucat-courses/simulated-ucat-day-workshop
It is important to note that UCAT does not endorse these preparation programs. UCAT do supply a practice test and you do not need to engage in a UCAT preparation program to be successful in the UCAT.
