University Scholarships

Make sure you take a look at these two very amazing scholarships available to all students thinking of studying at either the University of Melbourne or the Australian National University in 2020 – these are the two highest ranked universities in Australia.

The Hansen Scholarship – The University of Melbourne

If you are applying for study at the University of Melbourne in 2020, you should consider applying for the prestigious Hansen Scholarship.

Twenty exceptional students from around Australia will be chosen in the first intake for our most generous scholarship to date, starting their undergraduate studies at Melbourne in 2020.

The program brings together an unrivalled package of benefits for high-achieving students who may otherwise struggle financially to access higher education.

It offers free accommodation, living allowances, funds for an international exchange, internship or voluntary opportunity, plus a tailored enrichment program including academic orientation, study skills, mentoring and cultural activities.

Tuckwell Scholarship – The Australian National University

If you are planning to study at ANU in 2020, you should consider applying for the prestigious Tuckwell Scholarship.

The Tuckwell vision is to see highly talented and motivated school leavers fulfil their potential and reinvest their knowledge, skills and experience in ways that positively benefit others. The program has a focus on giving back to Australia and is the only one of its kind that nurtures Scholars to fulfil their broader community ambitions over and above the pursuit of an undergraduate degree.

Every year, twenty-five Year 12 students from across Australia are invited to take up a place at ANU as Tuckwell Scholars. The scholarship allows them to take full advantage of their time at university, including the many academic, social, cultural, sporting, and leadership opportunities that come with life on campus at ANU. As well as receiving financial support, Scholars take part in the Scholars House program, which includes support and mentoring from academic staff and older Scholars; a variety of enrichment activities such as special lectures; community outreach; social events, and an annual camp.

The Scholarships have been made possible by a donation of $50 million in 2013 from the Graham & Louise Tuckwell Foundation to the ANU; at the time this was the largest-ever single donation from an individual to an Australian university. That contribution has now been more than doubled to be worth around $100 million.
