FAQs
What is change of preference?
The change of preference period is your last chance to change your course preferences, now that you have your ATAR result. It’s a time to be realistic about your preferences and consider pathway options.
What if I didn’t get the ATAR I need for my chosen degree?
Don’t panic. Consider your pathway options, do some research and change your list of preferences to include courses that may have a lower ATAR requirement. Make sure you attend an information session at your chosen institution to explore your options.
How do I change my preferences?
Now that you have your ATAR, log into the VTAC website and consider the order of your course preferences. You should only apply for courses you are interested in, motivated to study and believe you can do well at. Also check that you meet the prerequisites and extra requirements of each course on your VTAC preference list.
What if I don’t get an offer?
Contact ACU directly to learn more about direct entry options, midyear intakes and alternative pathways to tertiary study.
