An introductory course covering the basic elements of Forensic Medicine. Students of all ages are welcome. The course was established in 1989 and remains unique in Australia. It aims to provide awareness and knowledge of forensics and crime investigation. The course is taught by practitioners who have investigated some of Australia’s most notorious murders and crimes.
Aims of the course
- Provide a basic knowledge of the main medical, scientific and legal concepts and methodology in a forensic setting.
- Provide an understanding of the basic organisational structures in the practice of forensic medicine and science.
- Provide an overview of the multi-disciplinary nature of forensic medicine.
Costs
There are costs associated with this course, totalling $885.00 with enrolments closing on 5 May, 2017. Please note that this course is not endorsed by Mount St. Joseph Girls’ College.
